Questions turn up between the stories: flags, outlines, capitals and quick questions. A right answer on a trivia card gives 1 fuel back.

The Daily tab is a geography game played on the same globe. Place a pin where the city is; the closer you are, the more you score.

  The Daily Pin Challenge

  Five rounds a day. Each round names a city and you place one pin. Everyone gets the same five cities, so the board is fair. New cities arrive at midnight, Central European Time. Practice is free and unlimited, it just does not score.

  Points per round. The most you can score in a day is 2,500.

• Head to head

  Duel

  Two players, the same five cities, 60 seconds a round. The higher total wins; a tie goes to the shorter total distance. You see your opponent’s pin only after you have placed yours.

  • Up to five duels a day
  • If nobody is online within 20 seconds, you play a recorded run from another player
  • Entering costs 2 fuel; the winner gets 1 back

  Board and streak

  Finish the daily to keep your streak going and to earn board points: your day’s total divided by ten. The Board tab shows where you stand.

Fuel is the small tank that powers scrolling and the daily games.

1. You start with 3 fuel and the tank holds 5.
2. Scrolling uses 1 fuel for every 5 new cards.
3. A right answer on a trivia card gives 1 back.
4. At zero the feed pauses: answer a quick question and you are scrolling again.
5. Starting the daily costs 1 fuel; a duel costs 2.
